From the horrible tragedy of 9/11 came the birth of the Bart Center, a program that brings families with special needs together so that every family member can enjoy sports. Bart J. Ruggiere was a young man whose life was taken from us on September 11, 2001 during the World Trade Center attacks. Bart's family and friends have skied at Bromley for over 20 years. It was one of his favorite places. Bart's family and friends have formed a foundation in his name to help support people with special needs through an adaptive program at Bromley Mountain. They wanted to honor Bart with a program that was built on his philosophies of "never giving up" and having "no limits". His family says that the mission and philosophy of this program is "So Bart". The Bart J. Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center is located at Bromley Mountain. The program is supported with a core of volunteers that continues to grow. The Bart Center uses the latest in equipment and teaching methods. For more information about Bart J. Ruggiere vist the Bart J. Ruggiere Memorial Fund. http://www.bartjruggiere.com/memorialFund.html
