First Annual Golf Tournament held on June 19, 2010 a success!

The Bart J Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center would like to give a big thank you to the Manchester Country Club for all of their help in hosting the 1st annual NO LIMITS Golf Tournament on June 19, 2010.

The money raised from this event will be used to benefit children and adults that come to the Bart J. Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Center.  Some of the people that come to the Bart Center have cognitive disabilities such as Autism or Downs Syndrome, or physical disabilities ranging from spinal bifida, spinal cord injury, a loss of limb from cancer or an accident, or birth defect.  It is from the generosity of these sponsors for the Golf Tournament that the Bart Center will be able to continue to help many of these people enjoy sports

REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER PROGRAMS*

I am pleased to announce an exciting change to the Bart Center's summer programs that came at the request of many of our participants.  Many of you expressed the desire for a program that was structured more as a day camp at one location.  Beginning July 13th, we will be at Lake Shaftsbury on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each day.  The program will consists of paddling, volleyball, kickball, arts and crafts and much more.  Join the Bart Center for a day for $35.00 (If participating in multiple days please call for pricing). Participants should bring their own lunch, a water bottle, a bathing suit, a towel and sun block.

The Bart Center will continue to offer cycling on Mondays, along with the Monday evening group ride.  Hiking is also available by appointment.  Please call 802) 384-4032 to reserve your spot today.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers are needed for summer paddling, hiking and cycling programs.  These start June 23, 2010.  Call 802-384-4032 for information and training schedule.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS  
Monday Evenings: Road Rides. Location:  Manchester, VT. We get together for road rides in the Manchester area every Monday evening.  If you are in need of a hand cycle or want to join us please call for more information. 802-384-4032.
Starting June 23, 2010: Midweek Summer Paddling, Hiking, Cycling Programs Begin. Location: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at Lake Shaftsbury. Monday to be determined, please call for more information.  802-384-4032
July 17, 2010: Race for the Cure. Location:  Hildene Meadows, Manchester, VT.  The Bart Center will have a team. Sign up and walk with us.
September 18, 2010: Bart Center NO LIMITS Bike Ride.  Location:  Manchester, VT.  It is time to start training for the NO LIMITS bike ride.  So get ready and ride!
